A few weeks ago I bought some cabbage at a really great price. Half the head I didn't use right away so I chopped it up and froze it for later.
Well last night I made a new twist on a favorite in our house. I made Cabbage Roll Cassarole. I used the same ingredients I use for cabbage rolls just in a cassarole I just mixed it all up and added a cheese topping.
Here are the ingredients I used. 1/2 head of chopped cabbage, 1/2 lb
g. beef cooked, 1/2 lb g. sausage cooked any kind you like, can of tomato soup, can of mexican seasoned diced tomatoes, rice, and a little onion. I mixed it all up put it in a pan topped with cheddar cheese and baked for about 30 minutes. It was outstanding next time I will cut the amount of rice and add more cabbage since we like that part of the cabbage rolls.

I make cabbage roll casserole often! It's so much easier than doing cabbage rolls. You can just mix it up and throw it in the oven.
